Tucked away in a beautiful cedar forest Ajalila Gardens offers you a chance to experience a peaceful mind, a happy heart, and a healthy body. We offer a variety of activities that take place in a serene setting or you can just relax and enjoy the tranquil space.
Come for a day, or come for a weekend we are a short 50 minute drive north of downtown Toronto.
Relax and Refresh
Leave the hustle and bustle and stress of the city and relax in our beautiful grounds. Take a swim in the pond. Its artesian spring fed, over an acre in size, and clean and refreshing. Enjoy a nature walk on one of the many trails and absorb the peace and tranquility of the countryside. Enjoy the freedom to do as much or as little as you like.
Delicious Food
Enjoy delicious gourmet vegetarian meals, organic where possible, or learn how to cook vegetarian food. On special weekends we will be having cooking workshops with guest chefs. If you have special dietary requirements please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.
Accommodations
Ajalila Gardens residence is an exquisite house located in a beautiful forest setting. Sleeping accommodations are available in the house or in a rustic cabin.
Hatha Yoga and Meditation
Experience physical and spiritual renewal through the time-tested techniques of hatha yoga and meditation. We have trained instructors qualified to teach all levels of hatha yoga whether you are a beginner or a long-time practitioner. We provide hands-on guidance in all classes to suit your level. Learn ancient meditation processes the heart of yoga, to help relieve stress and anxiety. Using breathing techniques, and repeating ancient mantras gradually experience the higher taste of spiritual fulfillment and inner peace. Enjoy your practice in our fabulous new yoga/meditation space surrounded by a picturesque forest and overlooking the pond.
Massage and Infra-red Sauna
We offer Massage by experienced therapists. Infra-red saunas are recommended by many health professionals as an excellent means to detoxify the body leaving it feeling refreshed and revitalized. Take time-out to enjoy our professional quality infra-red sauna.
Exercise
During the summer months enjoy a nice swim in the pond, have fun on our trampoline or use our volley ball court. In Winter the pond freezes and makes a wonderful skating rink bring your skates.
